Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention set new safety guidelines recommending that everyone wear a cloth face covering when out in public places to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). With these guidelines, the CDC also urged people to reserve medical-grade face masks for healthcare workers and first responders, as these are critical supplies for their work. To respond to these guidelines, Alice and Olivia is now selling cloth face masks for $10 each. With each purchase, the brand will also donate one mask to hospitals and communities in need.

“Wearing masks is our shared responsibility to protect each other and reduce community transmission. Let’s #MaskTogether and show support for those combatting this crisis on the front lines,” a statement on the brand’s website reads.

The Staceface Protective Face Masks are designed in the brand’s classic Stacey Bendet-inspired print, proving that the pandemic doesn’t have to be the end of creative fashion choices. Alice and Olivia also noted on Instagram that more print options are coming. Even with its fun twist on the masks, the brand still urges consumers to take safety seriously.

“Please understand that this mask is not a replacement for medical-grade Personal Protective Equipment and is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19,” the brand wrote.  That means we should all still be practicing social distancing, washing our hands, and refraining from touching our faces.”
